Every year the YP’s participate in various volunteer efforts throughout the year.

Adopt-A-Highway

We will be cleaning our stretch of road on Saturday, March 4th!  Our sign is up!  Drive by and see it from the Bypass on Oxford Rd.

Habitat for Humanity Choptank has built over 50 homes in Dorchester and Talbot counties since 2002.  Through 2015, they are on target to build at least more 25 homes.  These homes are sold at  no profit with interest-free mortgages to deserving local families.  We will be working another volunteer day in the spring of 2012!  Let the YP’s know you are interested by emailing yp@talbotchamber.org.

Pumpkin Carving Night

Every year we offer a Pumpkin Carving Night to for children ages 5 to 10  just a few days before Halloween.  We had 53 children attend our 2011 Pumpkin Carving Night!

Toys for Tots Drive & Luncheon

The drive kicks off just before Thanksgiving until the day of the luncheon (typically the 3rd Thursday in December) at which time we will present the donations to the Marine Corps at our Toys For Tots Luncheon.  This is our biggest event of the year and have lots of fun giving away numerous door prizes and hold a 50/50 raffle.
